Which Radio?

RE: Which Radio?
Yep, Dennis. That certainly seems to be the trend. More and more of our club members are moving over. We don't have a inteference issue at our two fields, but people are getting ready for the future, I guess. And, of course, no one can turn on a radio and shoot you down, either, which is as good a reason as any.

RE: Which Radio?
Don't hold your breath waiting for the 7C on 2.4
One thread, possibly in the Futaba forum, estimated delivery for "Christmas 2007"
Most new releases seem to get delayed for various reasons, and there will be a rush of orders (and backorders) to deal with.
If you want a system, now, on 2.4 you pretty much have to choose between the 6EXA and the DX7. I know there are TX modules shipping too, but you do not already have a module based transmitter for one of them.

BAX, the Futaba rep, posted 2 days ago on Wednesday that they were presently expecting in "mid-Autumn".

Again, these are estimates that could change in either direction.
BTW - that's not near Christmas.

RE: Which Radio?
Personal pref for ME is to wait for the 7C but I have several working radios and you don't. If my radios were all smashed and I had to order one today I'd probably get a DX7 just because the 6EX can't do what I want with my planes. I'd also get a big capacity 6volt battery to run it. The biggest number of complaints APPEAR to be related to battery problems.

If you really use your imagination, 'Mid-Autumn' is 'near Christmas.'
First day of fall is around Sept 20 and first day of winter is around Dec 20. About halfway between the two is Halloween. All of the stores around here have Christmas trees and decorations up the day after Halloween (if not before).
