Had my first flight today. Well I tried to fly a 2 channel mega#@$% cosmic flyer but it would barely stay in the air. So I don't really consider that a flight. Anyway it was with the HZ Super Cub. I was completely expecting to drive home with a box of broken airplane, but was totally surprised! I read that beginners shouldn't take off from the ground but I was bored as hell and decided to go for it. Almost enough wind to make the ribbon go level with the antenna. So I knew it was a little risky for my first flight. Long story short, three beautifull ground take offs, circular flights with somewhat strong wind in one direction, trees and three great soft landings. I'm stoked as I plan on using this plane to teach my little brother how to fly his Tower Hobbies .40 Trainer I built for him a few years ago but never flew cause of the fear of crash. Anyway, thought I'd share my first experience with my first post.

yeh I'm thinking about buying the larger battery pack. I think it's like 9.4v or something. Any suggestions? I know it's part # pkz1023.
I'm also taking her out for her second flight today after work.

Took out the SC for the third time today. The field was a little too small so I just kept her nice and high. Finally turned ACT off and got the guts to pull a few loops and what not. GREAT PLANE for beginners. First time flyer and somewhere around 12 great takeoffs and landings. (Well maybe about 2 landings ending up with the prop hitting the grass) Anyway I ordered one of [link=http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1237]these[/link] so I won't have to keep making these short trips to the field. If it works properly with the SC, I will buy 4 or 5 more before moving on to the Tower Hobbies 40 nitro trainer I built about 5 years ago or so. Any motor or battery mod suggestions? Oh and thanks for the help.
