Yeah, this weather in Texas really sucks this year... By far one of the wettest summers of all time. Here it is beginning of July and not a single day of 100 degree weather. I was supposed to go do my first buddy box last Thursday evening, but the wind picked up and right about 6pm it started to rain after a beautiful day.

I cleaned off more mud and water off my plane than oil after 2 flights today. You could see little water rooster tails from the tires before lift off.

Hey Gary, Hang in there, it won't be long when there won't be any rain anywhere and the days will be sunny and bright for at least 12 hours a day......Just keep a burnin those fossil fuels, I'm doing my part for sure...... Here in Oregon we get the wet stuff all the time, not in short bunches.
Can't wait to see what comes from this post.

I live north of Dallas. I hadn't been able to mow my lawn in over two weeks because of the rain. So this past Sunday, there was a decent break in the weather. So I went flying. Now it is supposed to rain for another 3-4 days. Priorities.

Well looking at our forecast (Dallas/Fort Worth area)... The next 3 days is nothing but rain. The club that I will be joining has closed their gates due to high water. I should have started this hobby last year instead of this year... Last year at this time we were on our 50th+ consecutive 100f degree day. This June has gone down in the history books as the wettest June and it looks like July is off to a good start as well...
Monday [Thunderstorm] 87° F | 71° F 31° C | 22° C - T-storms 70% chance of precipitation
Tuesday [Thunderstorm] 87° F | 70° F 31° C | 21° C - T-storms 60% chance of precipitation
Wednesday [Thunderstorm] 86° F | 70° F 30° C | 21° C - T-storms 60% chance of precipitation
Thursday [Chance of a Thunderstorm] 88° F | 71° F 31° C | 22° C - Chance of T-storms 50% chance of precipitation
Friday [Chance of a Thunderstorm] 89° F | 71° F 32° C | 22° C - Chance of T-storms 40% chance of precipitation
Most importantly... We have not had a 100f degree day yet this summer.

We've had great flying weather for most of the weekends this year in Las Cruces, NM.
I think El Paso, TX has had the same.
Maybe the trick is to fly to where the weather is good.

Raining a lot here as well. I still have my boat, but have yet to get it in the water. Medina lake the one we usually frequent was about 38 feet low last summer, this year, it's doing much better.
