Default HAN3001 Glow Plug

I order 2 of http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=HAN3001 for my Alpha 60 with the Evolution .61 engine. However I received 24, so I hope to be able to use them on most of my future engines too. What O.S. plug do they compare to? They don't have a description, so i don't know if they are medium or hot plugs, or anything else. Can they be used in most O.S. Engines? What about 4-stroke? Im just wondering if I limited to.

Thanks

There is NO description of this plug. Therefore it is impossible to tell what it compares to or is suited for. How did you select this plug?

At least you got a bargain on whatever they are.

I chose this plug because its the "sport" version of the plug it came with. I know glow plugs tend to die quickly when your breaking in a new engine, so I figured there is no reason to pay the extra money for the "Super" version, when its going to die anyways. So i just ordered two, and now here i am with 23, because the stock one did die. Im gonna try them out on my trucks, and see if maybe I can use them for that and for this plane. And when I do get a new plane, I guess ill try and test them.

Probably a bit hot for your trucks, they'd likely be in the OS #8 or A3 range... That's about where the typical aircraft sport plug runs.

I e-mailed hangar-9, asking for some information on the glow plug, specifically the temperature. I'm hoping to receive a answer so I know what i can use it on.

I got an email back saying its a medium plug. So, I think thats close to the O.S. #8, which Towerhobbies has as a medium hot. So do you think it will work on most O.S. engines that use the #8?
