Default Firewall Blindnuts

I am repairing a firewall on one of my planes....can I re-use the blindnuts used for the Brushless motor mount and nose gear on a new piece of wood?

You bet. As long as the threads are in good shape you can reuse them with no problems at all. After I've crashed a plane I will strip all of the parts off of it that can be reused, and blind nuts are definitely one of the parts that come off and is saved.

The sharp spikes that anchor them into the wood also need to be in good condition. When in doubt - they're cheap.

I no longer use the T nuts or blind nuts since they are very soft, and easy to strip. Instead, I use fender washers, lock washers and locking nuts. It's more trouble, but they do not come loose (ever)
