Default engine clean up after a flight

Hi guys, i was wandering how could i clean my engine to remove the grease on it... i thought that i could spray on some soft detergent on it and then blow it away with a air pistol... of course i would not put anything in the air intake.

What can i use to clean inside the hole of the air intake?

What do you guys do?

thanks

I leave it. Even after several years of use, they still look fine ... just a little baked on crud on the muffler, but no big deal. Any grass or dirt from a less than perfect landing just wipes off with a rag when I'm wiping down the plane.

If you really get stuff in the carburator, you really should disassemble the engine to clean it out before running it again.

As Philip said, just leave it. If there is excess oil on the outside of the engine just wipe it off with a paper towel. But that's about all you need to do in cleaning your engine.

that is %150 correct, it's running fine, don't worry about it, that oil on the outside is normal
