Default Solo Flight

If you have a short attention span look away now because i am bound to start rambling...

well we went to the field today and the farmer was stacking hay bails on the back of his trailer, so we went home and came back about half an hour later when the field was empty

so i unloaded the car, connected the aileron servo, put the wing on, fueled up and took everything down to the flightline, started the engine and throttled it up, it bounced down the runway and lifted off with a nice stream of blue smoke trailing out of the muffler, i banked left and did several circuits and then flew did a half-roll and flew inverted (then another half roll and completed the other half of the circuit upright), i tried another inverted flight but the engine died a couple of seconds into the inverted flight, so i managed to get it onto approach and eventually got it down on the runway, i walked over and started it up again, tuned it a bit and went for another takeoff, this time i did a flew circuits and landed. i gave it a quick "burst" of power at the end of the runway to swing the tail around for another takeoff, this time the engine died a few minutes into the flight and i had to deadstick land it AGAIN

at this time we decided to call it a day, so we packed up the car and that was the end of that for another 2 days, all in all a rather good flight, my first true solo with 2 dead stick landings and my first inverted flight.

that MDS still needs a little bit of tuning though, my dad suggested i check the tank as it seems something is restricting the fuel delivery but if anyone can figure out what the problem is id be happy to hear it

A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).

I've been flying for 11 years now. I still remember the day that I soloed. That's one of those things that most people don't forget.
