GJESION,
Congrats!!!! You definitely got it right that the fun starts now!!! There's something very cool about the first trip you take to the field AFTER you solo, you'll almost be strutting as you taxi your plane out to fly. But don't worry about it, we all did it!!!!

A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).

Congrats. But ya got one thing wrong. Or at least WE never look at it as "yet another solo". Every one is special. Especially for the pilot but we instructors also take great pride in our students success too. Whether we are at the field on the buddy box or simply answering your questions here, in a sense we are still instructing.

I've got to give a big ditto on what Bruce said. I get the same feeling I had when I soloed every time one of my students solos. Same thing for helping out here in the forum. Yes, every solo is special. So please know that we truly do feel proud for you!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words guys! You have it right Ken, when I went out 2 days later to fly it felt pretty darn good to taxi out and take off. Now all that I have to do is to try and remember to extend the antenna and keep track of the time!!

Regards,
Jerry

Jerry,
Congrat's on the solo, takes me back 20 years to my first solo with the exact same plane.

It's a great trainer that will serve you well for many years.

Let's see a picture of it.

gunfighterII,
Here is a picture. It has had a few hard knocks, but is still holding up!
