Default RE: Single conversion radio vs Dual conversion

Thanks.. My goal is simple....Use ONE transmitter for TWO air planes.. BOTh on the SAME channel.. Since I like the Lanyu I bougth another reciever exactly line the one in the Cessna..I want to install it in the Wing Dragon but it does not come with a chrystal.. Bottom line is I have another set of matched Chrystals BUT I don't want to change the transmitter chrystal when I fly. Therfore What I was wanting to do is have two recievers with the same chrystals and on Tx.. I do have a channel 3 RX chrystal on the right freq. for my new RX.. I can not field test until the reciever arrives in the mail..

IF we are talking that RX needs to be matched to TX and both need to be changed at the same time I am wasting my time.. The goal is one Common TX for TWO different RX's..

Ideally, I could flip the transmitter on.. choose a plane. insert a battery and fly..

With a lot of different TX's that is a LOT of batteries to keep up. The Lanyu TX feels good and fits my hands well. I handles great so I would like for IT to be my main TX..Eventually I would like to have all of my models with RX's that work on my single TX..

When we talk "matched sets" I wonder IF anyone actually tunes them together. I would imagine in China they tune each one and toss them in a container where some slave matches them up by number instead of machine.. IF that is so.. I wonder why I can't just buy RX Chrystals that will work with my transmitter..

I guess in time I will test and learn more about this. Thanks, Chief.
