I learned to fly on the Hangar-9 P-51 PTS and found it to be great. I broke the right landing block out on a hard landing and fixed both to solve the problem. I am really enjoying mine now as my instructor is showing me diffrent patterns, loops etc. Tuesday I made a stupid mistake and knew better. I had a dead stick and was coming down on the outside of the runway just fine and all was going well? About 3 feet off the ground I caught a glimp's of the windsock and realized I was wrong with the wind! So for some stupid reason I turned to get it into the wind properly and she dropped like a rock. [:@] My instructor told me when your deadstick it really doesn't matter just get it down safely...now I know! Ah well she snapped in half right behind the fuselage. I ordered the new one and it came in 2 days so I should be ready for flight come Sunday!

Sorry you smucked , it happens to all of us, and the first time is the worst. But you bouced right back and did`nt let it stop you.
Were you on a buddy box with your instructor ?

No buddy box. I have been going solo for about 3 weeks now. Lesson Learned.
