Default A LITTLE OIL

noticed a bit of oil seaping from behind my propeller on my nexstar its like a small looking seal on the shaft behind the propeller is this normal?

This is normal. The bearings at the front of the engine need lube like the rest of the engine. A little fuel seeping through is how they are getting lubed.

If its black, that ain't oil. Its aluminum . As was mentioned above, its normal for a little fuel oil to leak up front. Thats fine. But its mostly clear or the color of your fuel. But be weary of any black residue as that residue contains some aluminum and that indicates metal is wearing . OFten black residue streaking down the side of a plane can be attributed to the aluminum muffler and the aluminum case rubbing against each other. Thats fairly benign. But you you should always try to isolate the cause .
