I have gotten a bit of fuel inside of a fuselage. What is a good way to dry this out? I read a while back in a thread here about, I believe a powder or mabey a spray and heat to dry it out. Does anyone know what I am try to get this fuzzy brain to remember? I did a search with no luck. Thanks for the help in advance!

The stopper on my Nexstar fuel tank popped open on me a couple of years ago. I packed the inside of the fuselage where the fuel had leaked with kitty litter. Kitty litter will absorb a lot of oil and fuel.
After it sat for a few days, I shook out the kitty litter then blew out the remaining dust with some canned air.

I've sprayed straight alcohol in the plane then packed it with paper towels. That does a decent job. K2r is a thing of the past in California.

K2R can be gotten in a lot of places. They also have an 800 number to call for a local dealer, maybe even in Calif. Works good.
I heartily recommend fuelproofing the bottom and sides of ALL fuel compartments during assemby and be sure to include a small drain hole.

Thanks for the replies guys. Stopper came out of the tank here also. It's in a Goldberg Edge 540. The bottom of the plane is all covering except for a couple of stringers but would still like to dry it out as well as possible.
