That is correct. no balancing on that one. Check Flightpower I think they have some that size with the balance tap installed.

What will you be using it for?

i was just using that as an example because i have 2 kokam 3s 1500mah batteries that i bought with a plane and only have a deans connector. so i cant balance them? how would that affect the batteries?

well, Generally for receiver/transmitter use balancing really is not required because of the low current draw. still advisable though. I would reccomend any lipo being used for anything other than receivers/transmitters to be balanced at every charge. best bet is not to over charge/discharge and maybe you can get away without balancing(for a little while anyways), I prefer to balance my cells for added security and safety especially during charging.

Just my 2cents about it anyways, Maybe someone else can help or will explain it better.

good luck...

Your best bet with a non balance lipo, is to keep the charge rate at exactly or a bit below 1c,
or 1.5 amps on your kokams. Also keep the current draw within reason, and after a flight
wait for the battery to fully cool down before recharge. The more heat the pack builds
the more out of balance the center cell on a 3 cell will become, this happens because the
cell in the center can't cool as well as the outer 2. also a good rule of thumb is to only use
about 80% of the packs capacity to give it a good long life.
