Use it when you use thick CA for faster cure. Don't use it on thin CA or if you do, be really carefull and use eye protection. It pops once in a while and makes a mess. Bubbles and is hard to clean or sand.

I use a ton of it with thick CA. Thats about all I build with. I go back and put a filet of white glue on bulkheads and rib to spar joints on power planes to make sure the joint is strong. Gliders, I just build with CA.

Wow, that fast huh?

I was wondering - if I for instance glue a butt joint with thick CA, do you spray it with accelerator before putting the two pieces together? (I guess so, because you couldn't spray the CA after joining the parts)

No! Do NOT spray it before putting the pieces together, or you probably won't get then together. This stuff works VERY fast.

I use it for Medium CA, but never for thin.

I also never spray it. It has a residual effect, so I try not to put it anywhere except exactly where I want it to go.

Something else that works great when you are trying to build up a fillet with CYA is baking soda. Put on your CYA then sprinkle some soda on. It cures instantly.

I know I'm sounding like the MOM here, but this is important. When you are working with CYA always have lots and lots of ventilation or preferably wear an organic vapor respirator mask. Many here on RCU (do a search) including myself have had respiratory problems with using CYA. Be careful.
