Default Wintertime Projects?

Any of you guys planning any wintertime projects? I am! I plan to give my Sukhoi a makeover and a new 4 stroke as well as maybe giving my big stick new skin, but my big plans are to put together a CMP Katana 72" span and a 68" span Seagull Edge 540. I will most likely strip the brand new covering off and replace it with my own color scheme right off the bat. I love the planes, but dont like thier looks. I would mind building an extra 300/330 or whatever in place of the Edge, but havent found one for the right size and price yet. I'm sure my mind might change over the next few month, weeks,or even hours,lol...but right now I cant wait to get the $$ together for them. I'll likely do one as a 2 stroke .90 and one as a 4 stroke 1.something. What are you guys planning? Surely you new guys who are new solos are looking to step it up for next year!

A Scarinzi Trident is probably gonna happen. I won't want for an Umland kit though, I got old 60's vintage FM plans.

Well I have a new used 1.4 scale Pitts S2B I need to get in the air. I need to repair my FuntanaX 100 and my Herr Lil Extra Would like to upgrade my H9 Spitfires landing gear.

I have a few kits I can work on:
Great Planes Piper Cub 25E
Great Planes Slow Poke .10-.25
House of Balsa P-51 .25
Sig Hog Bipe

Then I still try to get out to the feild if the weather is not to forbidding.

I had bought a Bel Air 40 kit for my winter project, but I went and built it already []

I plan on building a set of floats for my trainer and a set of skis for my Four Star.

I am thinking of converting my Alpha to a tail dragger.

I plan on building a combat SPAD.

And I may do some rework on my Four Star - the electronic installation is pretty sloppy. It was my first build, and I was in a hurry. It flies great, but I am embarrased to let anyone see it with the wing off.

None of these will take a lot of time, but unfortunately, I don't have room in my basement for another plane yet....

1. Finish 40 Citabria
2. Finish PT-17 (possibly build new wings) I started this plane 15 years ago.
3. Gp .40 Corsair.. 1/2 finished kit I got used.. Needs the wing completely rebuilt (warped main spar) and some minor rework to the fuse.
IF there is any time left
4. House of Balsa 1/12 scale FW190A (new in box kit) That will be a nice change from reworking old builds.

When the snow melts go fly!

Default RE: Wintertime Projects?

I need to assemble a new ARF trainer and knock out a couple of indoor electric projects in the near future. In addition, I've got a few projects lined up for after the first snow fall:

1) Thunder Tiger Imagine 50 ARF to complete with flight pack and Saito .72

2) Model Tech Magic Formula 3D to outfit with flight pack and Magnum XL .70 RFS

3) Phoenix SeaBee ARF to assemble with flight pack and Magnum XLS .52A

4) Ace Hobby Whizard 1/2 A trainer kit to build

5) Great Planes Rapture .40 kit to build with flight pack and Magnum XL .52 RFS

If I get all of that built, assembled, and ready to fly, I can think about:

A) Setting up my Sea Master float plane with an engine and flight pack

B) Recovering and repairing my Goldberg Tiger 2 with the loose stabilizer and tired covering

C) Repairing the exhaust oil damage on my Tiger Stick .40

D) Setting up my Shrike .40 with an engine and flight pack

E) Repairing my crashed Tower Hobbies Trainer 40 Mk II

F) Rebuilding my Ultra Stik .40 and making it flight worthy

G) Putting an engine and flight pack in my Great Planes Extra 300 .60

Wow, I really need help. My family should host an intervention for me or something...
