Default RE: Beginner Plane

My hobbico superstart 40 came complete with all batteries and electronics installed pluse the radio and chargers.

Here is what I bought so I could get er in the air.

Glow Fuel
Glow plug heater + extra glow plug
Glow plug wrench
12volt Panel
12volt Battery (Actually already had that from deer feeder)
Electric fuel pump
Fuel Hose
Fuel filler attachments
Extra Prop
Extra Rubber bands
Box (Actually got it from a friend)
I spent almost $100 more to get er in the air.

I flew this weekend for my second time out and had a great time!! I had 6 flights total and I did all my takeoffs and landings. Once in the air I completed numerous loops, rolls, and barrell rolls. I performed a number of vertical stalls which the plane recovred from with no problem. Now the landings, WOO, talk about nerve racking, I had the wood prop that came with the plane installed, however it was not installed on my second flight.
My first landing, knee's knocking, I came in on the runway (Which is 300-400' concrete) bounced it pretty hard on the second striking the prop and breaking off about 1/2" or so.
I replaced the prop with plastic prop, I had no major issues on my next 5 landings, I killed the engine 3 more times but it was after I vered off the funway and got into the grass. I did however smack it a wee bit hard on the tail on a few of those landings but all in all, I think I did a prettey decent job for it being my first time taking off and landing and only being my 3rd thru 8th flights. I'm really starting to enjoy this hobby. I just hope that mom (the wife) continues to let me play.
