Goldbery floats

Do you know how long it takes to build Goldberg floats when you can't use CA. What are some good floats already made. I enjoy building but these take forever. That 60 acre field across the road of my house is looking better all the time for those planes on floats. Snowing as I type. Anxious to get the DeHavilland Beaver in the air.

No I don't want to use them on the snow. I guess I am like most people--want it yesterday. That is what I am using and titebond. This is about the 3rd pair and it doesn't get any faster.

After building about 3 models with CA, I began to get a severe cough every time I opened a bottle, especially with the thin stuff. I built my last plane with GP yellow glue, and it was much more enjoyable.

about 4 or 5 drops like I am putting on CA hinges and I can't breath and I have to sleep sitting in a chair because I can't breath. So I now use pacer hinge glue and epoxy, titebond and gorilla glue.

Seemefly: you may enjoy the smell now but you will regret it as you get older and they give you an Oxygen bottle to haul around, that is IF you live that long. Take precautions now so we can hear from you in the future!!!! ENJOY !!! RED

What kind of floats could I use for my Ultra Stick 40. I think the Goldberg Super Floats are too large. Looking for something that might be fiberglass or pre-built.

General rule of thumb-length of floats should be 75% to 80% of the length of the fuse. Those might be just right. My LHS has some ready mades by a couple different mfgs. You should be able to find a pair that's just right.
