Default Receiver and Servos for 2nd plane

I'm just finishing up my first kit. I bought a Futaba 6EX SS setup for it. I'm now planning on my second plane. So here's a simple question. Do I just buy a second receiver, battery, and set of servos for the second plane? I see Tower sells a bunch of flight packs but none for the 6EX.

Thanks.

If you bought the futaba 6EXAS any of those flight packs will work as long as the receiver is on the same frequency as your transmitter.

If you have the Futaba 6EX (SS) (Spread Spectrum) 2.4GHz you will need to use this receiver

You have to stick with the Spread Spectrum system, 2.4 GHz by Futaba. The 72 MHz receivers will not work. So, and I don't know anything about Futaba, if they limit the receivers (because they have not yet released any others) to what you currently have, then that's what you will have to get.

I presume that this transmitter has model memory capabilities? Just choose the next empty model and start from there with your new receiver.

if you have the spread spectrum, them you just get the spread spectrum reiciver. Futaba said they were discontinuing the 6 chanel version and just using the 7 chanel reciever. thats the one to get. and then get a second battery and servo set. then you will be wanting a third set and forth and........... I had 3 planes ready to go after I have soloed a couple of weeks, its very adictive!!!

If you are still confused post your question in the Futaba Radio Direct Support forum below....

Rick,
You are right, Futaba has not put together any 'flight packs' for the 2.4SS market. You have to buy the components separately.

They probably will start offering 2.4SS flight packs at some point. Right now they're probably having a hard time keeping up with demand for full systems; and receivers for those jumping from 72 mhz.

Thanks everyone. I assumed I just needed to buy a receiver and servos for each plane. The 6EX transmitter is multi model (6 model memory). I doubt I will have more than six planes in flying condition at any one time. But who knows?

Thanks.
