Yeah, but he's gonna fly the engine anyway. Might as well be in a plane he can actually put together and have a good chance of flying. Pretty sure that engine cost more then the Phoenix Model but then that is usually the case with Phoenix. Nice planes, low cost. BTW You're going to need a few special items to build any plane such as a trim iron, exacto knife with a lot of extra blades, two part epoxy, CA, 1/16" drill bit in a thumb vise, or one each individual that has built planes before and owns all of that crap already. Of course, if you do that, you'll still want to buy your own for the second one you build.

Al, nice car you have in the driveway in your dossier! You also have some nice looking planes. Must be nice... [

If Brian was smart he'd get the one from phoenix that you recommended. And Me? If I had the funds I'd have the one in the video! Fun fun fun!
Oh, and Al, if you ever get tired of that Aviation Models 30% Extra 260 you have in your dossier, send it my way! I'd love to have it. Oh, and send the car too.....

You don't need to send a bill. I'll just give you my 1972 Gremlin (freshly waxed), a Goldberg Eaglet 50 (with hi-torque servos) and a 9-6 spare prop (nylon master airscrew), oh, and this cat my daughter got me for christmas to save it from being euthenized that tore the heck out of my Venus 2 wing about 30 minutes after I got it in the house! I'll even throw in a 50 lb bag of meow mix if you accept my offer!
Let me know.......

My Feedback: (1)
I'm living proof that just about anything can be flown by anyone at one time or another. But, the chances of the plane surviving is much less with an unexperienced pilot flying a plane that is beyond his current capabilities, no matter what anyone says. You may fly it once or twice, but there will be the time, and it will happen very soon after you start out with it, that you will reach that infamous number, signifying the expiration date of that airframe. The best way to avoid that, or at least postpone it.. [X(] is to seek the help of someone at your club and get something that you can handle.
Not saying not to buy that Edge 540 if you are really sold on that, but also get something that you CAN handle and fly that for a few months. Then ask your fellow RC'ers, the ones that have been watching you, if you are ready to fly the Edge. That's exactly what I did. And the advice I was given by the pro's.. fly the Tiger 60 for a while THEN ask us.

Ya know as tempting as that is I'm going to have to pass. I'm not sure me and that cat would be in the same world if he tore up one of my planes and a car like that needs a guy with a whole lot more class then I can muster. Sorry.[&o][&o][&o][&o]
