Help With LT-40 Kit

i have finished the wing and i am at the point of gluing my fuselage together i have the rubber bands on it with all the formers in place the top and bottom now on the instructions it say to start gluing it at former #2 and after that move to former 1 and 3 now with me carefully looking at all the formers and pieces to see how the fit and make sure there are no wild bends or curves in the fuselage looking directly at Former 1 this is of course were i mount my engine mounts to and engine Former 1 is not perfectly squared looking directly from above because i know wood bends and twists with moisture temperature etc... how do i get it to be squared up in the fuselage without the engine mount
tilted so i don't to much left or right engine thrust???

I think that you are talking about how the top of the firewall is farther forward than the bottom.
This is intentional. The nature of the large flat bottom airfoil is to generate a lot of lift. This increases with speed. Therefore, they have engineered down thrust, so that the engine pulls the plane down when the engine speed is increased.

DjSE7EN - Get the fuselage as straight as possible. You'll be glad you did and it's worth taking the time to get it right.
Here's how:
First, draw a long straight line on your building board. Put a piece of waxed paper over it. Mark the locations of all the formers on the line (take measurements from the plan). Measure and draw a centerline on each former. Line up the formers over the line you drew and make sure they are square to the line. The one exception to this might be the firewall if it has right thrust.
Use plenty of clamps, rubber bands, pins, etc to put the whole thing together WITHOUT GLUE!
Now look at it from slightly above and from the rear. If you see an obvious warp, fix it. When you are completely satisfied that it's all straight, leave the formers pinned in place and remove the fuselage sides. Put glue on all the formers and put the fuselage sides back. Pin and clamp it just like it was before. Now check it all again. If you use slow drying glue such as carpenter's glue you'll have plenty of time to get it all aligned.
As far as the firewall goes, it won't hurt to build in a little right thrust and a little down thrust.

You are building over plans,right? Is there right thrust shown on plan?...If so, don't try to staighten it!! I have not built this kit, but you may be trying to overcome what is an intended design feature. Thousands of people have built this kit-wait till some of them have weighed in on this before acting rash. Good luck.....and remember, this is fun!

Yes there is trust built in I have built two of these and if you follow the manual exact you should have no problems they are excellent directions.If you follow them the fuse. should almost fall together and be very straight.

My right side of the firewall is a little farther forward the the left so i would presume that would put left thrust on the engine and of course i don't want' that i think the difference is a little less then
1/16 of a inch i think i glued my fuselage doubler just a hair back on the left side how do i fix this thanks

Looks allright to me,continue on If you built according to the plans when you dry fit all the fuse.sides and formers the tabs and cutouts are lined up before you start glueing,just follow the instructions and it should come out fine.
