Ok, it's fairly common out there that the SkyFly doesn't have all that much throw. Some have added control horns, but I'm curious about another solution.
Please look at the pic below.

The control wires are attached to the top of each servo wheel, so...
1. to remove the rubber-band return on the control surfaces, what about attaching another control wire to the bottom of the servo wheel, and have it do what the rubber band does?
2. to increase the throw of the surfaces, what about changing the diameter of the white wheels where the control wires are attached, that way when the wheels move, there's more pull on the wires?
Ideas, suggestions, etc? I tried to find info on the servos, like shaft diameter needed for the wheels, but no avail.

check the other sky fly threads on what to do.
I used 2mm threaded control rods, with dubro kwik links on the tail end. A z-bend on the "servo", attach the link to the hole closest to the control surface, and i have 1/2" deflection up and down.

don't try to run the rods through the tail boom either, just drill two small holes in the side of the fuse right next to the tail boom, and just let the wires go straight back to the control surfaces.
