just got a pulse xt pnp and was wondering if this is a good place for the reciever that came with the dx7. will it have good enough range?

I could not see the antenna for the primary RX. Where is that? They really should be perpendicular to each other. The other issue is to try to separate them as far apart as possible from each other. Set them up so one has the antennas running parallel to the wing and one that is parallel to the fuselage.

It's also not good to have all of those servo wires running that close to the remote reciever as they can cause interference in the receiver. You would be better off moving the remote forward of the main receiver. The remote weighs so little that it won't cause any issues with the balance.

how about now? the main reciever antenna is parallel to fuse. Does the antenna being inside the fuse have no affect on the range?

what i did in mine was run all those wires though that litte hole in the midde then put the battery in the big hole then sile it back as far as i could then use alot of foam to wrap the rx in. then look up by the tank wall you see the 2inch slit . a srap pice of balsa and drops of ca to hold it them together then with the loops wrap it around the little rx then a small pice of foam beteen the rx and the plane. when your done the one ant is point up then the other is side to side
th pics suck but the setup is great i try to get better pic's

I usually plug a small extension cable into the receiver and then when assemble the plane I just plug the aileron servos into that extension.
One thing you didn't mention but should be addressed. Are you going to wrap those receivers in foam?? You should to this to prevent vibrations from damaging them in flight.

I have a question about the antenna - since my Rx is towards the trailing edge of the wing, the antenna will extend about 16" beyond the tail and I don't want to coil it. Looking at the bottom of the plane, if I exit the antenna out the left side just past the wing, run it down to the tail and bring it back to the right side, will that inhibit my range? See any problems with this idea, besides possibly catching on grass?
Or any other options?
Thanks - if this was off topic, didn't mean to hi-jack.

Kevlar,
The only thing you want to avoid with the longer antennas is doubling it up on itself. This will reduce the range of the radio and cause problems.
