Ok.. Can I hook two transmitters on the same channel to a trainer cord without having problems ? Or do they need to be on different channels?

The radio that you use for the buddy box doesn't matter what channel it is on. So no, they don't need to be on the same frequency. The channel of the buddy box doesn't matter at all. In fact, on all of the radios that I've converted to be a buddy box I have completely removed the cyrstal. As well as the batteries, with the exception of the JR box which requires a charged battery in the buddy box to work properly.

I buddy box the Futaba 2.4GHz with a Futaba 72MHz unit with no problems. One odd characteristic though, when you switch the master (the 2.4 GHz unit) over to the slave, there is a lag between the time you throw the switch and when the 72MHz unit takes over, about .5 to 1 second. Going the other way (taking control back from the slave) is instantaineous so it is not a problem but was disconcerting the first time I used the buddy box. In contact with Futaba, they said this was normal. I suspect this is also true with the Spectrum but have not tried that yet.

Just a quick question can you use a 2.4 GHz radio and buddy box it with a 72 GHz radio?
