Hi everyone. I am a newbie. I just bought a Bellanca Decathalon and Aerofly Professional Simulator. Hobby Lobby has an F/A-18 EDF RTF jet and was wondering if anyone can give me their own review. I am hoping the Bellanca and the simulator will get me up to speed and ready for the jet, as Hobby Lobby stated it would. (I am starting to doubt their advice as I read threads).
I also saw Banana Hobby has an F-22 EDF RTF with twin brushless but is sold out. Those two sites seem to offer the best EDF RTF jets I have seen. Can you recommend any others?
Also, can you hook up a buddy box with the transmitters they supply with the Bellanca and F/A-18?
Thanks for any guidance

Marc, I am fairly new to the rc airplane scene myself and i tried to fly a jet similar to what your looking at and it is way more challenging than a regular plane.
I would suggest to work your way upto the jet in about 1-2 years. they are very fast and could require split second reflexes.
hope this helps
goodluck

Any jet model, electric or fuel, is not something you will be ready for any time soon.
The Decathalon, although not a trainer, is not out of reach for a beginner with help from an experienced pilot but going from a decathalon to any jet model is IMO to big a leap.

Sounds like Hobby Lobby gave me some misguidance! They sold me the Bellanca Decathalon as a 1st time beginner recommendation.

Can we assume you are talking about this particular plane?
