Default radio problems help please!!

Hey everyone,

I used to fly a glow trainer years ago, and my field got auctioned off, so i lost my place to fly. but parkflyers are becoming more popular and i have a new spot to fly, its not as big as i would like for a glow plane, but perfect for my hobbico sky screamer...
I decided i would get back into the hobby after playing with that!

I got a slow stick
2410-09 brushless
dynam 25amp brushless esc
11.1 volt lipo
corona RS410II Receiver
2 towerpro 9g servos
and "Parkflyers r/c" transmitter

I got it built and lined out, I actually taxied it in my yard and got it about 1 ft. off the ground twice. and brought it in for final inspection before flying. I was impressed with the power, and ability to taxi in the grass.

heres my problem...
I pulled the crystal and put it in a dynam transmitter, and it didnt work with that transmitter,
when i put the crystal back into my parkflyer's rc transmitter. It worked, but
when i use the rudder, it interferes with the elevator. When i use the elevator it interferes with my throttle. I dont know if this has anything to do with me monkying with the crystal or not, ive got fresh batteries for rx and tx. I dont have a clue, maybe i have enabled some type of mixing, but i doubt my radio even has mixing capabilities, the transmitter has no instructions. Im lost, any input would be greatly appreciated!

Try moving some things around, keep the reciever away from the ESC.

Lots of RF noise in electrics.

Try a different antennae route.

i found that a good radio makes all of the differance to a good time flying or not i recomend that you buy a good tx and rx if you know that you are going to keep flying
radios that i recomend are:
spectrum dx6 park flyers only 2.4ghz
spectrum dx7 full range fly anything type thing2.4ghz "i love mine"
any jr tx
but i have no idea what it going in with your plane? yes slow sticks do have a lot of power and they can even pull verticals.
have fun hope you work somthing out with your plane

Transmitters do not work well or if at if a different crystal is used than what came in it from the factory.

Crystal in receivers should be kept with the same brand and model receiver.

On some of the Futaba receivers there are high band and low band receivers in the same model and they cannot have the crystals interchanged to the other band.

I totally agree with W8ye. Keep the crystals in the same brand radio, don't use a different brand in a radio. In addition I'll add that it's illegail in the US for the end user (that's us) to change the crystal in the transmitter. It must be done by a shop that has the ability to verify the output of the radio, and retune that output if necessary.

I removed the crystal, and put it back in the same tx. Are you guys saying that i might have damaged the tx by pulling the crystal and then putting it back in?

Is that my problem, that i removed the crystal?

If you put the same crystal back in your should be ok. What I was talking about is removing the original crystal and putting a different one back in.
