Default Book Help?

Is there a book that is considered to be a good reference to use when building a model, for a new boot like myself?

Default Harry Higley all the way!

Go for the harry higley books. They're yellow, and there's about ten (maybe twelve) out there. Some of the best reads on the hobby. Get the two 'Getting airbourne' series, then move onto the others. The Bipes' on is a good 'building book' as it details some more 'advanced' techniques. Tom's tequniques and 'There are no secrets' should be on the list too!
