Your Pro Peak Prodigy II battery charger can indeed recharge 4.8v and 6.0v receiver packs, both NiCd and NiMH, as well as 9.6v NiCd or NiMH transmitter packs. Recharging these packs at 1.0 amp will allow you to recharge a completely exhausted 600MaH battery in just over 30 minutes, but a typical recharge after three or four flights should only take around ten to fifteen minutes as you will almost never completely exhaust a battery pack unless you let it sit for a very long time before recharging it.
Charging a transmitter or receiver pack at rates over 1.0 amp generally isn't recommended. The battery can heat up if charged too quickly and its life span could be shortened over time if this were done repeatedly. I quick charge my transmitter and receiver batteries routinely at 1 Amp, and even after three full seasons of quick charging much more often than trickle charging, none of my batteries show any signs of premature wear when cycled and tested.
