Default Need help, need Micro/mini servo recommendations

I'm building a plane and have need of some Micro servos. Nothing fancy, just a good, reliable, not too expensive, servo to activate a bomb drop, or open a small hatch, or move a small camera.

I use a futaba radio and receiver, so I need the standard "J" type connector.

All of my planes so far have been perfectly happy with standard servos. I've consistently used the Futaba 3004 when I needed standard servos.

What I'm looking for is the equiv. Micro servo.

So fill in the blank:

As the Futaba 3004 is to standard servos, the _____________ is to Micro servos.

TIA

Lyndon

I couldnt resist the price, and ordered a half dozen of these things, just to see how they worked. I have been using a couple as throttle servos on my SPAD's, and they seem to work just fine. I haven't had a failure yet, in about 20-30 flights.

I wouldn't put them in the same league as Futaba, but for a non-critical application, they are worth the price.

Yup I buy those in lots of 20 at great prices.

You do not want to use them for higher torque applications as the gears will strip... but for small park flyers, and actuators they are fine.

I have them on a Bobcat .25 as well.

The High Torque 108oz/in standard sized servos can be had for as low as $6.98/ea in lots of 20.

Hextronic is the new name for TowerPro line of servos, motors, etc.

Apparently Tower Hobbies got a bit miffed at the name.... dunno why.

The hitech 55s and 85 are very reliable. I saw an add for 55 at 3.95 so they might be cheap but not sure. The ones above look very nice for that price.

I've had a lot of problems with all of those.

Not that ALL have been bad, just that for the number I've purchased my problem rate has been higher than it should be for a leading brand.
