I've already received some good info from a few guys here, and I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but the local hobby shop is confusing and contradicting. So I'm going to put the question out there again and hope no one gets annoyed. I have a Futaba T6XA
tx (72.950Mhz.) and a GWS Pico J-3 Cub. I bought a GWS Pico flight pack with a 4 ch. receiver. I was told that I need a different crystal to fly and summer is getting closer! The LHS is not much help, so I'm turning to YOU. How do I determine what crystal I need to get? Did I give you enough info? Do I simply buy any FM 4 ch. receiver w/crystal? Please help!

72.950 MHz, that's channel 58.

You need a GWS channel 58 crystal.

Is that what you're looking for?

The GWS flight packs don't come with a crystal. You can NOT use the Futaba RX crystal in the GWS RX, you need to get a GWS crystal.

There are some RX brands that have interchangeable crystals, but they aren't all interchangeable.

Also, the Futaba RX is almost certainly duel conversion, while the GWS RX is single conversion. That means the Futaba crystal can't possibly work in the GWS RX.

So, go get a GWS crystal on your TX's channel, and go fly
