Default some noob questions

Hi. I am trying to make an edf depron plane and i have some questions i would like to ask.

1) I noticed that motors are rated with KV which are known as rpm/V. So does it mean if i plug on an 11v polymer battery onto a motor rated at 5300Kv, it will run at 58300rpm with max power?

2) I was thinking of making the fan duct tube out of PVC pipe about 65mm outer diameter with 1 3mm wall. what do you think of this? it would be heavier than depron but its much stiffer and since the tube will only be about 300mm long, i guess it wont be that heavy

3) if i were to put 2 edf in a same tube, will it stack? for example, if i had 2 edfs with a 500g thrust rating each, will it add up to 1000g of thrust when placed in the same tube?

4) is there any mathematical formulas to calculate the thrust produced by an edf motor fan set?

hope some1 can help me ))

not very famillar with electrics, better off posting in the electric forum, however as far as the duct tube goes it does not need to be very strong, lighter the better, when I built the byron f-16,mig-15 and f-86h the duct tube was made from clear plastic like hevy cellophane that just had aluminum tape wrapped around both ends for mounting purposes, basically to keep the screw hole from enlarging.as far as stacking units to gain thrust no it will not work the way you want.thrust is a function of the air exiting both speed and volume ,you would be better off using a larger motor and stacking rotors, kress did this to allow a larger motor to be used to produce more thrust in a smaller package.also check with the jet forum

1.yes
2.weight is critical in most DF airplanes simply because most designs have the engine behind the center of gravity and a tail heavy plane will be unflyable.
3.No
4.Yes but I don't know what it is. You would probably have to know the pitch of the blades, number of blades and rpms of the fan unit.

1: Yes, without any fan or propeller on. You will be below 40000 with the fan on.
