Default Plastic Epoxy? Is it Hype?

Is there really a difference between plastic epoxy and regular epoxy? If so does anybody know what and how? Has anybody used it and noticed a difference? Is it all just a marketing hype? This is all Loctite's web page tells you. Thanks.

"Specially formulated adhesive for use on plastic surfaces

Water resistant, clear, permanent bond

Adhesive sets in 4 - 6 minutes, and fully cures in 24 hours"

I would think it probably has some chemical added to help it bond to plastic.
Regular epoxy does have a difficult time getting a good hold on plastic.

I have used it several times on other projects and for me it worked great. I get it from Wal-Mart and it comes in a black dual tube--aprox. 2.12. Has a really strong odor.
