Does anyone know what kind of plane this it? I bought it from the local hobby shop and they didn't know. It is a scratch built plane and I would like to get the plans for it in case of damage. Thanks!

No, I learned to fly several years ago. This plane is fast, and a dream to fly. It is also a very beautiful plane that I would hate to damage without having the plans to fix it. So I am putting it up until I get the plans.

You might want to try cruising through the plans sections of RC Modeler and Model Airplane News, plus any other commercial sites you can find on the web...

My Feedback: (1)
Montague is probably correct. It is very likely an older formula 1 or a Q40 pylon ship. It would be more helpful to know what the span is and how the langing gear was arranged as well as the size engine installed. Q40 and the defunct formula 1 class only offered a resemblence to the full scale and therefore were not always so recognizable.
His suggestion to post the the picture in the general racing or Q40 sub forums would get you an answer.
