Default Long E-Z, information needed

I don't know if this is the best forum to post this. Moderators please move if needed.

I was at the TCRC auction yesterday. I met Minnflyer, Insanemoondoggie, and Minnreefer. Good time.

One of the planes I bought is a "Long E-Z" ARF. 56-1/2" wingspan. No rudder control (but a servo is used for ground steering) Aileron servos in the wings. Fixed gear.

Does anybody have documentation on this plane? CG? Throws? It came with nothing...

TIA

Lyndon

Congrats on your purchase of your new Long ez. I have a similar one and the CG line is 6 in back from the leading edge of the wing, not the canard. Control throws werent put into the manual that I have for my long ez. I got mine from nitroplanes.com and quite frankly the manual was absolute garbage for assembly. Hope the CG info helps out though.

RCKen assembled a Long-EZ ARF last year. He may have details for you. If it is the same model, I recall he found a couple of small problems to overcome but liked the way it flew.

Looks nice! I have researched this plane as well as the BobCat pusher prop jet. The common problem I read about both birds was the landing gear set up can lead to a crash imediatly following take off. I guess they need to be set up a little nose high. What happens is if the nose is to low the wings act as spoilers on a NASCAR car and the faster you gou the more it holds the plane to the ground. The pilot by this time is pulling full back on the elevator and when it does rotate (probably because it hit a bump in the runway) it shoots straight up and stalls to low to recover. All because of landing gear set up...
