Default transporting plane to airfield

The wings come off in seconds... and go back on in less than 2 min.

You can get a common trainer in an old 1965 Honda Civic. (The REALLY small one... I think only BMW made something smaller and called it a car.)

To remove the wings... I recomend cutting the rubber bands. Used bands get oil soaked and lose elasticity, then break too easilly to be safe. Buy the bands from an office supply store and get 2 lbs for the same cost as the 8 oz box at the hobby shop.

Default transporting plane to airfield

Before I bought my full-sized van, I transported my trainer to the field in a 1991 Geo Metro. I could get everything into the car but there was only room for the plane and me (i.e. no additional passengers)!

You'll be surprised, packed well, you can get a few planes into the back of a car. Most at our feild have Honda civics, some even with Porche 944 (three planes!)

One BMW owner has a problem getting his Balsa USA Neuport int he back..

Default Not a problem

I have a BMW and classic corvette. Have no problems getting planes to field. In BMW simply put fuse's in trunk. 2 fit nicely. and wings standing upright in floorboard of rear passenger seat. I vette can only fit one.....both fust and wing standing upright in front seat. Yea I have to disconnect wings from fuse but worth it not to have to drive a truck the rest of the time. Now if I get bigger..... I've already installed trailer hitch on BMW so may buy a trailer. Duke

Default How small?!

I think I win the teeny-tiny plane hauler contest....

I manage to stuff two .10-.25 planes and support equipment in this-1973 Suzuki Jimny, with room for 1 passenger and myself. With a 360cc 2-stroke engine speed is limited, my planes fly faster than I can drive!
