I can't comment specifically on the LA Flyer.
But, I bought a skyraider machII and liked it so much I bought another.
The skyraider machII was very cheaply made and to the point, and some people even say it is UGLY!
Like I said, I can only comment on the skyraider, but my opinion based on that is if you want something very cheap to fly around thats the way to go. If you are looking for a well built quality plane than I would shy away from it if its anything like the skyraider.
The skyraider is very flimsy with cheap thin covering. But it flies great! It serves its purpose. I consider it my "beater" plane.

World Models ARFs have a good reputation for quality construction, instructions, and hardware. The LA Flyer is reasonably priced at $99.99 and is about the only tail-dragger trainer ARF on the market.
If I were looking for a new trainer to fly from a grass runway, the LA Flyer would be at the top of my shopping list. I'd buy one.
