hello all i am putting the radio gear in a super sportster 40 mrk II i run into a little problem the instructions show using a servo with the 4 holes in the arm i cut all the excess arms off but the one,it is done for the rudder and elevator, and throttle. when installing the throttle servo it will hit when put in the outer hole, so i moved it in to the third hole for the elevator seems to be fine, also the throttle calls for a 4 hole arm but will hit the side of the fuse, so i plan on putting a servo arm on with three holes. will this have a bad effect on the controls and is their any suggestions that could be done never had this problem before. also do the instructions just use the basic four hole servo arm for reference thanks mike

It doesn't really matter what servo arm you use. On things like the elevator and rudder and ailerons, you are better to put it farther out on the arm, but it is not necessary. Just make sure you have enough movement. The throttle arm leangth doesn't matter as much either, just make sure you have full control to open it and close it. That usually takes a longer arm.
If you put them farther out on the servo arm, it makes for a more positive control on the surface generally. I tend to move the servos so I can use the 5 star arms and cut off the excess arms too so they don't hit.
Is this your first plane? If so, I hope you have someone to help fly it. It isn't a trainer and will be pretty fast. It is a good plane though. If not your first, you will have fun with it.

thanks for the info i have flown a hobbico superstar select 40, and a kadet lt 40 and a clipped wing cub, i have been flyiong my friends sig s.e. so i will get help with it but not my first plane, this arf has been a nightmare with nothing fitting the right way thanks for the help

Just ref to the directions... I don't know what the throw is listed to be for that plane, but on a lot of faster planes it is only 3/4 of an inch up and 3/4 of an inch down. It wont take much... On the elevator, if you have too much you will snap role if you pull up hard and you may find yourself out of control.
