Is all epoxy safe to use on all types of foam? Or should I use foam safe glue.

I have never had a problem with epoxy on any of my foamies or other foam things I have used it on, like my airplane stand which is Styrofoam.

What about the "gorilla" type glues ??? I beleive they are polyurethane ??

The only real problem with epoxy and gorilla glue is that once set and hardened, they are not flexible. The UHU glue works with and flexes with the foam material.

Gorilla Glue works well and fills in gaps if you wet it with water. Epoxy is heavy so don't use it too much.

"IF" you wet it with water? Water is the catylist for Gorrila glue. It's a required component.

And it sets very hard and inflexible, just like epoxy.

Another thing about monkey glue and epoxy is the weight. It doesn't take a whole lot of epoxy on a foamy to make it unstable and almost impossible to ballance (unless it's a big foamy).

The 'Bug' from Lightflite.com is a very light aircraft, uses the UHU Creative glue pretty much throughout the build process. The weight of that thing is only 6 to 6.1/2 ounces. No epoxy or Gorrila Glue. There must be a reason why they use UHU Creative..and it's because it does very well with EPP Foam.
