At 20.00 a gal or near that, I don't mess with running a new engine to much on the breakin. Just like a car let it run for awhile and then fly it. If you have the motor set right it breaks in in air just as well. I do run a tank thru them but not 4 tanks. Fuel is just to expensive now. I have had not problems. I did start out running about 4 tanks thru my Saito engines but now just run a tank thru them. At about 1/2 i do the pinch test and then try to set everything as if ready to fly. When i get it right I am ready. I just can't see running that much fuel thru them on the ground. I keep all my engines running a little rich which in turn gives me a small smoke trail and i like it that way. May not be getting top performance but know that i am never to lean. From racing cars most of my life i know what a lean engine will do and you will not like it lol. Detonation is what you don't want happening and that comes mainly from timing. I know i don't do things like the next guy but the next guy is not buyig my fuel lol.
