I have a Hitec Superslim 8-ch. Rx. The servos all have the U-shaped connectors (both corners on one side are beveled), but the receiver's jacks look kinda Oklahoma-shaped (an extra little slot on one corner). They work together fine, but my question is, are the Oklahoma-shaped jacks the Futaba J-type? Would a servo with a Futaba J-type connector plug into this receiver?

Yes -- If it's as you describe, that Rx will accept both Hitek and Futaba, and unless I'm mistaken, even the JR type of servos fit. I'm sure a JR person out there can help me with that last one.

Currently Hitec (S), JR and Airtronics (Z) are all compatable in both polarity and plug design. Futaba is the only odd man out with their (J) and its little tab that must be removed to plug into any of the others.
Beware of JR and only JR's use of a reversed polarity (center pin negative) charge plug on their Tx's.
