Great Site!! Lot's of good info for beginners. Between your site and Paul's Airfieldmodels.com, there are few questions still left to be answered.

Fantastic! Thanks, ken and Minn!!
Wonderful site that I will spend the entire evening on, I'm sure. There's a lot that I have forgotten over the years.

Nice job, guys!
One comment, you only listed the Avistar as an RTF (and slammed it for having a weak engine). It does come as an ARF, and then you can choose whatever engine you want. I started with an Avistar and an OS 50SX, and that engine has lived on to fly in at least two other planes since then.
EDIT - BTW, I'm putting a link to your Getting Airborn page on our club's website!

I HAVE owned a Telemaster. but it was a LOOOng time ago and I did not build it.
I remember it was an all-stick build which I would discourage a newbie from attempting, and since we have the LT-40 on there, well hell, it's damn near the same plane and a helluva lot easier to build than a stick-frame.

Another comment...sorta a general web design" thing...
THANK YOU for actually launching a site WITH CONTENT. There are, imo, very few things on the web as annoying as "Come check out my site!" and when you get there, it's one page of "This will be my site about transexual nazi eskimos spanking spanish nuns" and everything else a bunch of "Coming soon!" garbage.
It's a treat to see someone say "Hey, we have this site with useful info" and to find that the site ACTUALLY HAS a significant amount of useful info!

Just figured it was the quintessential trainer, and it comes as an ARF or RTF in about eleventy-nine versions now.

I've never even seen a Nextar in person. I've heard good things about it, but I've also heard bad things about it.
We are not going to post hearsay.
I happen to be a big fan of hobbico stuff, but I'm not going to recommend something that I don't have first-hand experience with.

I've trained quite a few on the Nexstar and if I have my druthers I usually don't recommend it. Why?? Price. It's one of the more expensive packages on the market, and mainly it's because of the "gadgets" on it (AFS, speed brakes, and wing droops). Most instructors will remove all three of those whenever a student shows up with a Nexstar. So if they're going to get removed why even pay the extra to start with??

Anyway, AMAZING job on the site. I really like that it is so unbiased and based on good old honest experience. I am very grateful for all the hard work you guys put into this site, and will be happy to forward it to anyone I can.

Just a bump, since this one seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle.

One other thing which I am sure that you thought of, there is no contact us directly at the website, I generally like that on websites that I visit or might purchase from, just my 2 cents
