Solo'd!

I finally solo'd today! And to beet it all, it was the first day of flying since last fall. My instructor took my new trianer up for it's maiden flight, trimmed it out and brought it back in. Then he told me to take it up if I thought I was ready. And with only a few minor mistakes from being nervous and a little heavy on the sticks, I took off, made a few passes and landed! What a Rush!

Nice work! Now you have the whole season to fly without being tethered to an instructor. Congratulations!
Just remember (I tell this to all my students) you know enough to fly safely, but there's still so much more you can learn out there if you seek the information out. Never stop the experimentation and learning process! The only difference is that now you are allowed to do it on your own.
Best of luck,
Nate

I'm really not sure, but I used about a half gallon of fuel before the wing folded on my last trainer. [:@]

Thanks Everyone!
I can't wait to get back to the field and burn some more fuel!
I'm gong to try to get there earlier this time so I'll have more time to practice my take off & landing before it gets too crowded.
