I just remembered that I do have an "expert" radio and RX with four servos laying around. We will need to get a battery for both the RX and the radio, but they work very well and the readio is a four channel radio. I can throw that in.

Who is going to coordinate all this? Someone will have to take inventory to see what we have, and then someone is going to have to get shipping instructions to us all.

It would be nice to do all this so it all arrives around the same time so the OP and his son can get going on this.

Next.. the OP MUST take photo's or videos. We all need updates on the progress of this project.

Ah.. man.. you started all this.. Don't sweat it, though, I'm sure what will happen is that someone will send a duplicate of something on the list.

Oh... maybe that's the way to handle this... make a list!! Yeah.. there we go.

Ok.. I will put together a list. Anyone can chime in if I forget something and I can edit it in. Then we can have a check-off for what is being sent.

Someone needs to step up and take inventory of who does what, though. Let's share the work here, folks.

Here is how this will work: I will make up the list, and who volunteers to send it out. If there is a smily face, it's a done deal and will be shipped. No smiley face.. someone has to own up to send out this item. Once that's done a name goes with a smily face. We can send it out as soon as we wish. OP.. please provide a shipping address via PM to individuals, if you don't mind.

Also, if something is missing in the below list, PM me or post and I will add to the list.

The SIG LT-40 at Towerhobbies is $131.99 (see below link)
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXFG19&P=ML

Missileman suggested the LT40 ARF. If we don't make it (I can't see how that would happen.. we're halfway there and it's only the first day of this effort) we can go for the Tower 40 ARF, but I think the LT40 is the way to go, don't you guys? So, I've put in $20 for this effort.

The list:

Engine Evolution 40 CGRetired
Radio Expert Brooke
4 Servos Expert Brooke
$20.00 Contribution for LT40 kit gboulton
$30.00 Contribution for ARF Missileman
$20.00 Contribution for ARF CGRetired
2 Props Brand X Missileman
Fuel
Glue
Battery, RX 2000mah NiCd 4 cell Missileman

Post some detailed pictures if you can. Some of the things could be salvaged.
If the rx for example was wraped in foam, it should have survived the impact. Unless you meant the plane caught fire and burnt everything.

The more information we have about the original crash, and what may have been or can be salvaged, the better off we will be to fill in the blanks in 'the list'.

FYI the guy who started this post (i.e. who lost the plane) hasn't posted anything since his first post; he may not even know that any of this is going on.

You all are so kind and generous. If I had something extra I'd pitch it in too, but I don't (and I'm broke, too!)

Do you really think the fuel was damaged in the crash?

Missileman suggested (in a PM so you didn't see it) that contributions of cash go toward an ARF. I have absolutely no problem with that. So, I will put that in "the list".

This is all very generous and well intentioned, but unless I missed it, I haven't seen that Blazer1 is at all cool with the idea. Some folks would actually be offended by the offer. I think we need to hear from him. BTW, does anyone know how old his son is? Is he old enough to build, or will this have to be an ARF or RTF?

On the whole ARF/RTF/Kit thing :

I'm in for kit money. That was my original offer...$20 for the purchase of a kit if we see a build thread, and that's the offer I'm standing behind. If the recipient would rather have an ARF, that's fine, and I'll gladly stand up to my offers of servos, fuel tank, and/or props.

As for age...bah...by 7 yr old son is working on his first kit right now (indeed, as I type this). Age smage. Never too early to start building. Age simply impacts how much assistance might be needed.

==========

Twice now someone has felt it necessary to 'remind us" that the OP hasn't replied. Thanks so much. We're all aware that Blazer1 has remained silent on this issue. We're simply trying to organize an opportunity to pay a little of our own fortune forward to help someone back into the air. If Blazer1 doesn't wish to take advantage of the offer, that's certainly ok. He/She can let us know by posting, not posting, whatever. I'm pretty sure that if we don't get a response, we'll be able to figure out not to send all this stuff to an address we don't know.

If he/she's offended by the offer, that's fine too. The offers are made out of a desire to help someone fly, and I'm sure we'll get over it if they're refused, and Blazer1 will get over our offering.

I thought of that.

If he doesn't agree or like it, we can still collect the items and then do something with it for some needy individual... or just back down. This is not the first time this has been done here on RCU. And yes, it would be good to hear from the OP on this. I would hope that this is doing some good for a young person. And, we've proposed an ARF either LT40 or Tower 40.

All I was trying to imply is that he would be super excited to come back and see this (and also for the people who asked to see a pic of the damage).

I think you guys are all amazing gentlemen

It's a moot point now since he has replied in another thread.

Yes, since a new thread has been started I'm locking this one.
