I see what you guys are doing for the kid that just lost his trainer. I feel bad for him, I know now what you guys were trying to prevent from happening to me. Thanks!
Question, You know the F-22 I got, well I was wondering would an electric plane be ok to practice with? See I am looking for a wing over trainer so as not to destroy the 22. I also joined the AMA last night and have a fellow with the local club said he would help me this coming Sunday. I have a 10 acre pasture to practice in so if I got an el-cheapo electric would that be anything close to a gas plane to help hone my flying or is it totally different? I'm talking something a little upgrade from the foam stuff but not the real expensive electrics either.

Hello...I am not missleman, but I have some advice. If you have the F22 raptor with a motor and radio equipment, why not buy an ARF trainer and put your motor and radio equipment it in to learn on for the same price as a foamy? You can get a tower trainer for $65 and your equipment for the F22 will work just fine in it. Once you learn on it, switch over your motor and electronics back to the F22.

Yes it will help but make sure it is 4 channel so you get aileron practice.
Something like Wing Dragon 4 on the low end, will not be able to handle much wind.

Or the Hobbico Electricstar is nice but more pricey.

There are other options in the ARF catagory since you already have a transmitter but figure a couple hundred to put a package together.
Alot of people like the Hobbyzone Super Cub ready to fly package @ about $160 or so but it is only 3 channels although any flying experience is better than none.

I like r2champion recommendation, a Tower Trainer will be easier to learn on at a low cost and use your Raptor as a second plane, of course you don't want to be flying it in your back yard.
