Get a trainer first. With your car experience you may find flying easier to grasp, but the Zero would be to much to start with.

You can always have someone fly the zero for you, if you want to see how it flies.

If you haven't already, find a local club or flying field and contact them, and hookup with an instructor.

The Zero would probably make a great second plane for you. If the plane is ready to go, see if someone can take it up for you. Then park it and get a good trainer. Find a club and go with what the instuctor suggests. The engine is a good size for the trainer so use that and move it back to the Zero after. I just picked up a Midwest Zero kit. Its going together well and will do a report on it in the Spring. Maybe you can let us know how your Zero flys?? HAve fun, Fast!

Default Zero flying

The Zero is one of the easier warbirds to fly and land. It has a large wing area compared to the size of the fuselage. Kyosho has a way of building a wing that will fly fast and then fly unbelievable slow to land. Thats not like a standard warbird, but if its easier to handle, who cares? Good luck. Fast!
