I'm outfitting the entire fleet with voltwatch gizmos. On one of my rx's, I don't have any slots left for the voltwatch. I've never had to "Y" anything before, so just to make sure,,,,,can I use a "Y" after an extension that is plugged into say,,,,, channel 5, retracts and one end of the "Y" going to the retract servo and the other end of the "Y" to the voltwatch??

Absolutely. This will work without any problems at all.

In fact, using a Y-harness is how a lot of receivers are set up if you have a servo plugged into all of the channels. You have to plug the battery and servo into a Y-harness and then into a channel on the radio. This also works if you are setting up a dual battery setup on your radio. In fact, the battery and/or voltwatch can be plugged into any channel slot on the reciever and will work just fine. Same way with a Y-harness as well.

On receivers, the battery or power is all ''ganged'' together on a buss. All the battery + and - leads are connected, so you can put the battery in any of the slots and it will provide power. The servo signal lead is usually indicated so just make sure you observe polarity when plugging the battery in those other slots.

But, I''ve use Y connectors for voltwatch and for setting up two battery packs. Works just fine. (for two battery packs, though, you need two switches, one per battery).
