pumbadog, I watch a couple of videos about Super Cubs in Alaska. The guy's fly real Super Cubs, they apply the brakes, full doun elevator, full power, it lifts the tail up immediately, then they let off one brake, spin the aircraft around and take off within 50 feet. It's reall cool to see that.

Do what you like but if you try getting a model Super Cub in the air too soon you are in for an unpleasant surprise.

If you are brand new to the hobby, that plane is best left hanging up for a while while you get the hang of a trainer.

What he is saying is if you jump that plane (or most planes, for that matter) into the air before they are flying, you will end up snapping it and crashing it on takeoff. The exception to this is if it is grossly overpowered.
Some planes fly at slower speeds than others. My clipped wing cub requires about 25 to 30 mph ground speed before I ever pull on the elevator.

There is nothing wrong with the Super Cub. Great airplane and great model to fly.
I was answering your refference to short takeoff. The Super Cub as with most planes will cause often fatal problems if you try getting them in the air before you have enough speed built up. They will roll to one side and your airplane ends up cartwheeling down the runway.

My question here would be why you want a brake system. Brake systems for RC planes are available, but they can be complicated and expensive. If you are asking about brakes simply to keep your plane from rolling so easy, or for stopping quicker, you can accomplish quite a bit of braking by simply putting a piece of fuel tubing between the wheels and the wheel collars.
