Thank you very much for the moral support guys It is appriciated as this one was one of my more recent special projects, It was not my intent to hijack the thread.
Yes it will have many more flights soon The four engine Quad Kaydet in my avitar has had over 200 flights on wheels and floats with a few at night in the last five years. The Six Pack is also fully lit internally and with orientation lites for night flight.
Rockerdude yes she flys and will fly better after each flight as I explore the envelope and make appropriate changes. I used the fat wheels because, well what else would you put on a Foo Bomber.
Rocker these airplanes are a result of a time honored modeling tradition Know as Kit Bashing. Although it does not neccessarily have to be a kit, could simply be an arf or any airplane that has had very minor changes to massive changes to give it performance or looks or both that is entirely different than the original airplane. one of my favorite forms of modeling.
Whats interesting is right here in the beginners forum you will see fellows learning this fine art even from the beginning sometimes with things like changing from tri gear to a taildragger or modifying this or that.
The donor airplanes for thse two were a Sig Kaydet Senior and a Hobby Lobby Senior Telemaster trainers , Kit or ARF makes no real difference. As missileman stated above indeed all the more reason to keep your old trainers going. They are ideal for so many things you,ve never thought of before.
Here is that first flight of the Six Pack not great vidio but an acceptable maiden to work from. You may enjoy the choreography required of my crew without which I would never be able to do this, they are all accomplished flyers and good folks:
Agine my apologies for the hijack.

With a plane like that, nobody minds you "hijacking" the thread.

Very nice video. At the end, a normal plane would have easily broken a prop. Lucky yours didnt... you would of had to buy 6 more props
. make another one soon so we can see your next flight!
Ps: Dont worry about "hijacking" the thread
