Not gonna find much (if any) in that price range worth owning. Mostly Wal-Mart stuff.

Well, one main point would be learn to fly with an instructor so you don't crash and break props.

Check the list in the sticky post by RCKen about models to choose from. There are several there... unfortunately, not may for $100 with servos, engine, and receiver. Are we to presume you have a four channel radio or do you need that too?

If you do not have such a setup, then a good choice would be a Hobbico Super Star RTF. They go for around $300 or slightly less. This is a four channel trainer aircraft that ready to fly.. includes radio, servos, receiver, and an OS 40 LA engine. All you need to do is assemble the plane, then find yourself an instructor to help you learn to fly it.

He specified a "pusher" configuration. This is usually only found with small electrics. Would probably be foam or stick construction.

You're not going to find a decent electic plane for under 100 bucks. Take a look at the Parkzone electrics. They go for aroudn 179 ready to fly, and they are quality planes.

http://www.hobbytron.com/patriot-rc-airplane.html $130. Not a beginner plane, but it's cheap and 4 channels ready to fly.

Raidentech has a few 4-channel RTFs in stock:

I believe you'd be better off spending a little extra and buying:

Good luck and good shopping!

I'll bet you could find a used SuperCub. I sold mine (flying) for $40 to a friend. I saw another one for $80. The S.C. isn't very aerobatic, but it'll get a beginner used to the sticks.

The Aerobird is about $120, but I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner even though it's a beginner plane.

Hit the local clubs. I bought a complete (older) trainer, .40 motor, Tx and some other stuff for $125. That was my first plane.

With a $100 budget you might get farther buying used. Check the papers and right here on RCU.

I've seen actual working 4-ch transmitters (Quattro or something) for $15. People just use them for buddy boxes.

Also, an excellent deal and a good slooooow flier are the sticks. A buddy of mine bought his for $40 new with a motor/gearbox. It's a balsa/covered plane. Add a brushed ESC and the other stuff. You might come out to $100.
