I was standing in our local hobby shop yesterday afternoon when the UPS guy made his delivery. The owner was opening the boxes when I got a glimpse of what was inside, A PULSE XT 60!! There were a few of us standing around and I happen to be the first one to say "I'll take it"
I really had given up on getting this plane because from what I had heard they were not very easy to find. It is more than likely more plane than I need right now, but I thought it was fate that I was standing there when it was delivered. Okay, I need a prop for this combo (Pulse XT 60 w/Evolution .61) I am looking for slow ,easy, good vertical, not speed. What do you recommend?

12x6 APC two blade. Oh, yea! APC also makes a 12.75x3.75 or something. I'd like to try it with my .61nt but I haven't found one and haven't ordered one yet.

A 12.75x3.75 is not enough prop for the Evolution .61. It’s a lower RPM engine that likes to swing some lumber. Mine turns only 12,000 with at 12 X 6. If you go with the 3.75 pitch, you may want to try a 14" dia. prop, but that may not provide enough forward speed.
Try the Pulse 60 using a 12 X 6 prop first – if it’s too fast then drop down the pitch, but I think it’ll be a good overall flyer with the 12 X 6.

I have been flying a 12x6 apc on my evo 61 (on alpha 60) with good results. It has more then enough power at half throttle to fly the trainer and at full it really pulls it around the sky.

With a 13 X 4W prop my Evolution .61 in a Twist 40 I am turning 11200 RPM + or - & it will go vertical with no trouble. In my H9 Corsair I am using a 12 X 6 on a Evolution .61 turning mid 12s & it is a very good match.
