Congrats on building the Hog Bipe, you'll love it! First of all, some might recommend getting the appropriate sized fiberglass pants from someplace like Fiberglass Specialties. These come as one peice, all you have to do is paint them. This is a great idea, but I have found that the supplied pants that come with the kit hold up nicely. Here is how I approached them: Don't worry about the wheel opening at first, you'll get to that later. Sand both halves as flat as possible until the 2 halves fit closely without any major gap between them. Cyanoacrylic glue works great with ABS plastic. Just run a bead of thick or medium CA glue around the edge of one half and then carefully mate the other half in place. You can hold them until they're dry or tape them firmly together and wait, shouldn't take but a few minutes. When this is done, then you can use a dremel tool and zip out the wheel opening in the bottom and trim it to fit your wheels. Sand the entire pant including the seams using a lighter grit sandpaper ~150 grit or so. If your seams are really bad, you can use bondo paste to fill any gaps or smooth the contour then sand the seams again. Then sand the whole thing with a very light sandpaper for a smooth finish and for paint adhesion. For my wheel pants, I used Rustoleum auto primer with black Rustoleum spray. Rustoleum is pretty fuel proof, especially considering the small amount of burnt fuel your wheel pants will encounter. If needed, you can clear coat them with a fuel proof spray such as Lusterkote by Top Flite. Good luck with your Hog!

Yes as a matter of fact I did. They look great. I had to use 3 layers of Bondo on them but they turned out good. I'm looking for a good paint now. I'll try to get a picture up after the paint job.
